Global Exploration Trips
International mindedness and the IIS Mission in action

Developing international mindedness and becoming socially responsible citizens are fundamental principles of an IIS and International Baccalaureate education. As is clearly stated in our mission statement, we foster personal growth and develop 21st Century skills. The global exploration trips are a key part of our programmes, where all students have an opportunity to enhance important skills.
Students will either travel overseas or join a national trip to participate in service activities and gain important and valuable experiences. Through their participation in these projects, students will learn important skills in relation to providing service, engaging in local communities and understanding global issues. Following this experience, students will be prepared to develop their own service activities
Through their direct involvement in the global exploration trips, our students gain significant understanding of global issues and the ways that communities work to solve problems. Through their participation in the programme, our students will develop skills that will enable them to be effective problem solvers and actively involved in their community. The world is our classroom; the most rewarding and important learning comes from experience, seeing with our own eyes, and doing with our own hands..

THE GLOBAL EXPLORATION TRIPS FOR 2021-2022 HAVE BEEN POSTPONED TO 2022-2023 AND HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH WEEK WITHOUT WALLS.
We look forward to the return of the global exploration trips in the future.
