義大焦點 IN FOCUS WEEK 3

01Primary Department - “Jump Rope for Heart” Fundraiser

Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump Rope for Heart!

Primary Department students demonstrated their caring and healthy attitude by jumping for charity to support heart health and the Cardiac Children’s Foundation.

To successfully complete this meaningful action, students, teachers, and families enthusiastically participated in the event through jumping, guidance, and donations to raise a total of $75,611 NTD! ❤️

Special thanks to PE Tr. Michèle and Project Actions Coordinator Tr. Rachel for their guidance and support!

02Middle School Department Celebrates Student Academic Success

This week we had our monthly Middle School Assembly.  Our monthly assemblies are on the first Wednesday of every month.

During the assembly, we took time to discuss how important it is to have a friendly campus and to treat each other with kindness and respect even if we don’t always agree with one another.

We also celebrated student academic success in all subject areas from semester one of the Year of Being Principled with awards.  In addition, we recognized students of the month and homeroom of the month for receiving the most positive iSAMS referrals for embodying the IB attributes.  Celebrating our talented students is important to our Middle School Department culture that promotes academic rigor and hard work in a supportive and inquiry-based learning environment.

03Week 3 - International Secondary Department: A Landmark Week for the Grade 10 Students

Congratulations to the Grade 10 students who put on an exceptional Personal Project Exhibition this week. This is the result of a year's worth of hard work and some of the final projects were truly exceptional. Congratulations to Tr. Jamie who coordinated this programme, ably supported by our MYP Coordinator Tr. Bill, and so many of the faculty who acted as project supervisors for the Grade 10 students.

The Grade 10 students (and parents) also attended the IB Diploma Options fair and had a chance to speak with all of the Diploma teachers about the different subjects on offer. Now, along with their parents and the support of the faculty, Grade 10 students have some exciting decisions to make.

Well done this week, Grade 10 students!

04Secondary Bilingual Department Grade 12: University Admission Prediction & Application Information Session

After publishing the GSAT results, grade 12 students demonstrated great achievement.

Students carefully compared universities and thoughtfully selected their ideal university with teachers’ guidance.

Well done, grade 12 students, and please continue to show confidence!  We will support you and give you assistance throughout your university application and decision-making processes.

053D Printing Pens on Thursdays at Lunch

Every Thursday the Maker Space is full as students use the 3D printing pens to create a variety of things. Tinkering with new tools, materials, and techniques creatively is the first and most foundational step students take before they can design and make them intentionally.
