I-Shou International School

Wishes Everyone a Happy Christmas!

02Merry Christmas from I-Shou International Preschool (ISIP)

What an exciting week it has been at I-Shou International Preschool!

The week began with the first day of our Spirit Week which was Magical Christmas. To join in the school-wide Harry Potter festivities, students wore their favourite wizard, princess, or superhero costumes to school. The week continued with Pajama Day, Christmas hats, and a Festive Sweater Day. The students loved their visit from Santa on Tuesday and all the students were lucky enough to take home a special gift.

The ISIP Winter Concert on Wednesday was a huge success. Students truly showed their festive spirit as they danced and sang to some classic and modern Christmas songs. Thanks so much to all the parents for joining this event and making this such a special day for your children. Our Christmas festivities concluded with some Christmas activities led by our teachers in the afternoon. Students had fun building snowmans, rocking around the Christmas tree, and playing Bingo and Tinsel Tag.

Merry Christmas from everyone at the ISIP! Have a wonderful weekend ahead.

03A Magical and Joyful Week in Primary Department

The Primary Department was full of energy and happiness this week!

Our Christmas Caring Drive continued for its second full week. Thank you to everyone in our school community for showing their generosity towards this annual event.

On Tuesday, the Primary Winter Concert was in full swing, and it was filled with a series of fantastic performances. The theme of Harry Potter Music Fantasia demonstrated the energy and Christmas spirit of our Primary Department. The final performance from the student orchestra was amazing and received positive reviews.

We hosted some magical lunchtime activities centred around our Harry Potter Winter Festival Week. Activities included Magic Maker, Harry Potter Quidditch Games, Harry Potter Literacies Activities, Spirit Week Dress-Up, and more!

These events filled the whole department with knowledge, joy, and blessings. What a wonderful week!

04International Secondary Department (ISD) Global Issues Network (GIN) - Write for Rights

Last week, ISD GIN students held a Write For Rights workshop. Write for Rights is an event created by Amnesty International, where people write letters to support those whose human rights are in danger.

This year’s theme revolves around protestors. These protestors peacefully expressed their human rights, but were treated unfairly. They are at risk of death threats, prosecution, or even imprisonment.

At the end of the event, the students wrote a total of 134 letters!

05Christmas Week in the Secondary Bilingual Department

During this seasonal celebration week, the Secondary Bilingual Department celebrated students’ achievements during assembly time. We invited Principal Roger to present certificates to the students in recognition of their outstanding performance. Students not only studied hard this week, but also used their limited spare time to participate in the school-wide Christmas door decoration competition. Masterpieces were created by our creative students.

We all enjoyed this wonderful week!

06Grade 4 Unit of Inquiry (UOI) - Human Migration

"Human migration" is the main focus of the fourth grade UOI 3. Previously, students have brainstormed some reasons for human migration, and this time they will delve deeper into understanding that the reasons for migration can be divided into two main factors: "push" and "pull".

Through keywords, students will classify the reasons for human migration according to the push and pull principles. After classification, students will freely choose a pair of corresponding push and pull factors and use illustrations and text to explain them in more detail. Finally, we will display the students' completed works on the table for them to appreciate and learn from each other.
