義大焦點 IN FOCUS WEEK 17

01Distance Learning PE, Music, and Art Class

Distance Learning specialist classes in the Primary Department are diverse, lively and interesting. In music class, students learned to identify various musical terms and recognize the relationship between facial expressions and emotions. In PE, students were encouraged to persevere through the fitness fortune wheel to maintain a healthy body. In art class, students learned to use brushes to draw colorful flowers to cultivate their soul with art.

We look forward to every student making the most of a well-designed curriculum to enrich their life as learners!

02Middle School Department Finishes End-of-Semester Assessments

This week in the Middle School Department students worked on their end-of-semester assessments.  Our assessments this quarter were project based with open-ended questions that allowed students to complete while learning from home.

Our Middle School students have done a great job meeting their deadlines this week for their project based end-of-semester assessments.  And our teachers have done a great job creating authentic, inquiry-based assessments to challenge our students.

03Week 17 - High Quality Work

We have been really impressed with the work being submitted by students this week across all grades. Teachers have been sharing examples of work that students have been doing in there assessments and going way beyond expectations. Well done ISD students!

Next week we look forward to our hybrid Grade 9 and Grade 12 Commencement ceremonies

Have a wonderful weekend!

04Teachers and Students Show Their Effort and Creativity in the Project-Based Assessments

After several weeks of Distance Learning, the school has modified the year-end assessments to become project-based assessments. Teachers from each subject designed various projects according to students’ learning focus in the past few weeks.
