03Middle School Department Celebrates Christmas

This week in the Middle School Department (MSD) we celebrated Christmas in a variety of ways. We had Christmas Spirit Week, each day students and teachers dressing with a different theme. We also hosted our annual Winter Concert, showcasing our very talented musicians in a thrilling live performance.

Additionally, our MSD Student Council (STUCO) decorated our hallways with festive trimmings.  And finally, we had our annual door decorating contest, in which our 8 homerooms participated by decorating their doors in a festive fashion.

Our primary focus is academics and students and teachers are hard at work preparing for end-of-semester assessments. However, we also pay attention to the social well-being of our students and teachers in the MSD, and celebrating the holidays is one method of sharing the joy of attending I-Shou.

04International Secondary Department (ISD) Completes a Great Christmas Week

This week has been the busiest week of the year so far in the ISD. The Senior Student Council have been working overtime this week organizing a week-long “Spirit Week” and also an evening “After Christmas” party that involved an outdoor movie, games and some excellent food!

A record 16 students from the ISD have been preparing for the Taiwanese National Exams that takes place in January while the Grade 12 Language A students have been completing their assessed Oral Presentations that form part of their final IB grade. This has gone very smoothly and is a testament to the hard work of both the students and their teachers.

Last but not least, ISD students provided 14 acts for the Secondary Winter Concert and each and every one of them gave a virtuoso performance - the concert was simply breathtaking and to have them perform live, in front of all of the ISD students and parents, allowed us once again to experience the vibrant and renowned community for which I-Shou is known.
