義大焦點 IN FOCUS WEEK 13

01Primary Department In-School Vaccinations

With clear guidance and supervision, Primary Department students successfully received their Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

That day, students followed an orderly sequence through the prearranged disinfected areas for waiting, check-in, doctor consultation, vaccination, and observation.

To allow students to be relaxed and calm, we also set up a children’s movie in the observation area after their vaccines.

We are happy to have completed another meaningful event for epidemic prevention!

02Grade 6 Mathematics Uses Kinesthetic Learning and Technology to Learn about Probability

This week in Grade 6 Mathematics classes students used their laptops to record data as they flipped coins, testing probability in a kinesthetic and inquiry-based learning environment.

Students discovered that as a sample size increases, the frequency and probability of outcomes become closer. This type of lesson helps students develop their information literacy skills as well, one of the keys to becoming lifelong learners.

03International Secondary Department (ISD) Grade 12 Students See the Finish Line in Sight

This week in the ISD, we saw the majority of Grade 12 students finish their IBDP final exams. With just Chemistry and Sports Science exams next week, Friday the 13th was for many a lucky day. Throughout this period they have remained resilient and focused on the task at hand, and also excited to see their DP studies through. Well done, Grade 12 students.

Elsewhere, preparations have begun for next year's STMUN conference which will take place in December of 2022. The MUN Executive Team led by Grade 11 Yankee is doing a wonderful job recruiting students for the many roles required to make such a large conference a success.

04Secondary Bilingual Department (SBD) Grade 12- Mock Interviews

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."

Secondary Bilingual Department (SBD) Grade 12 students are working hard in the last mile of their university pathways.

Students practiced their mock interviews and got a lot of useful feedback from teachers, directors and the principal: “Be confident, be prepared and be yourself”.

I-Shou International School’s students are the best!

We are looking forward to hearing the students' good news!
