This will help cultivate students’ tech proficiency, fostering versatile application of interdisciplinary knowledge.

06Reading Month

In celebration of Reading Month, some of our I-Shou staff and faculty are highlighting books on Celebrity Reading Posters.

07Exploring Materials

The K1 students and teachers have been exploring the properties of different materials and the states of matter. To help students experience these concepts the K1 teachers organized some fun science experiments and hands on activities.

Students combined liquids to make an erupting volcano, mixed ingredients to make slime, and used cubes of ice to pick up salt. During these experiments students are able to see the way materials change when combined with each other and the way these can be used for different functions. Later in the unit the students also mixed peroxide and dish washing soap to make elephant toothpaste!
