02Developing a Love of Reading
Learning to read and developing a love of reading is critical to the development of a child. At the ISIP our students spend time each day being read to, or practicing their reading skills. Our young learners are encouraged to explore their own interests through reading and are provided many different digital and print resources to do so. Our K1 and K2 students especially love going to the new Learning Commons area each week to choose a book to borrow.
03Terry Fox Run!
Primary Department students came together to raise awareness for cancer research by pledging to collectively run over 250 km!
They joined thousands of Canadians who participate in this run each year.
04Congratulations, Jamie W.
Jamie W. participated in the TISSA Swim Meet in
He placed first, second, third and sixth in the 4 events he participated in.
05Secondary Bilingual Department (SBD) Parent Information Evening
The Parent Information Evening for SBD parents began with welcome speeches, followed by an introduction to the SBD teaching and administrative team. The Academic Counseling Supervisor also took this opportunity to provide parents with information on the national exams.
Finally, parents visited their respective classes, where homeroom teachers provided information on class-related matters.
We look forward to a closer parent-teacher collaboration in the coming academic year, helping students reach higher levels of learning.
06Welcome to the Dictionary Classroom
We're here to explore and understand how dictionaries are used in second-grade Chinese classes. Before the beginning of the new semester, we collectively acquired the skill of looking up words in dictionaries.
In our classroom sessions, we honed our abilities to employ radicals and phonetic notations for discovering unfamiliar words.
The focused expressions on everyone's faces were truly impressive！
The Maker Space was packed! Even during the lunch break, students were enthusiastically and energetically working to express their creativity.
