Dear I-Shou parents,
With the government relaxation of COVID protocols, it is great to see parents on our campus once again, especially as parents participate in the Parent Information/Maker Experiential sessions andreconnect with I-Shou directors and faculty!
The results of the survey of parents regarding last spring's Distance Learning program have now been compiled and analyzed.
We are pleased that the vast majority of I-Shou parents were quite satisfied with the school's online teaching and learning program. Special thanks to the many parents who praised the stellar efforts of our faculty who worked so hard during the challenging six weeks of online learning at year's end. Parent comments will receive serious consideration when the Distance Learning policy is reviewed and updated.
A more comprehensive online parent survey will be sent home on Friday, December 3. The purpose of this survey is to obtain feedback on school operations, generally, to assist us in further strengthening school programs for our children during the years ahead.

02Ninja Warrior Champions
Since its inception, I-Shou Ninja Warrior has been an exciting and energetic event on campus that stirs the imagination and competitive spirit of all Primary Department students. This year marked our 4th Ninja Warrior event, and destiny has chosen our newest crop of Ninja Warrior Champions!
Winners must be risk-takers and balanced. They must train hard and have good self-management. They must conquer their fears to conquer the course! It was an epic battle that resulted in 11 new champions!
Congratulations to Chelsea, Matteo, Cindy, Harrison, Ada, Kenny, Andy, Roxie, Melody, Angela, and Nelson!
03Middle School Department (MSD) Prepares for Winter Concert
Our Middle School Department (MSD) has some very talented student musicians! Our MSD students recently auditioned for the Winter Concert and have been practicing very hard to showcase their talents at our upcoming Winter Concert.
The Winter Concert will be held on December 23rd and is a signature yearly event at I-Shou that we look forward to as a community.
We have had multiple I-Shou graduates attend some of the best music and performing arts Universities in the world in the recent past such as Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.
We work hard to prepare our MSD students for similar, future opportunities!
04A Great Week of Learning in the International Secondary Department (ISD)
It has been another busy and productive week this week in the ISD. The week started with the Global Issues Network service-learning club delivering a great assembly on what it means to be “Principled” and highlighting how they are making a difference in our school community.
An example of the great learning this week was a Grade 12 Biology class led by Tr. Jamie where students were developing an understanding of the heart. Another exceptional example this week was the Grade 9 artwork in Tr. Elena’s class - students were working with prime colours and creating some amazing mosaic art; just two examples of the many great classes observed this week.
05Secondary Bilingual Department (SBD) 11R Chinese Class - Thinking and Inquiring Activity
