01Celebrating Diversity in the Primary Years Programme (PYP)
November is Diversity Month in the PYP! Diversity makes our world a beautiful and exciting place. There are many different languages and cultures to explore, and under the leadership of Tr. Annie and Tr. Lindsay, Primary Department students will spend lunchtime travelling the world through different activities hosted by our multinational faculty. Giving students these learning experiences fosters international-mindedness and an understanding of other people and their cultures. Students are enjoying Korean yut, German language, Tinikling, Japanese crafts, Mehendi designs, French vocabulary, Egyptian facts, and more!
We look forward to seeing them fill their Diversity Lunchtime Passports throughout the month!
02Middle School Mid-Semester Assessments
This week Middle School students are busy completing their mid-semester assessments. Students and teachers have prepared hard in the “Year of Being Principled” for these assessments as students demonstrate academic integrity and honesty whilst taking responsibility for their academic success in the transition years of the IB Middle Years Programme.
Good work MSD!
03International Secondary Department (ISD) Moves Into “Study Mode”
This week students undertook their mid-semester formative assessments in the ISD. It is a chance for students to individually show how much they have learned in the first half of the semester and, more importantly, use the results as a way to set personal goals for the next 10 weeks. ISD students have approached this week with optimism and resilience. You can certainly feel the mood change this week as it has been a little quieter during lessons. For most students, these results will reflect their positive progress. For all, a good chance to reflect and reset personal targets for the next 10 weeks.
Well done and good luck ISD students!
