IB PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME (PYP)
The PYP encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate, lifelong learners who understand other people and their perspectives.
Our vibrant curriculum is informed from the latest research by the International Baccalaureate on early child development, encouraging children to develop early language and mathematical skills and providing opportunity to learn through creative activity, movement and dramatic play.
Inquiry based and concept-driven curriculum
Small classes with a bilingual learning environment
Three homeroom teachers: One full time English teacher with two Chinese teachers
Flexible learning spaces
We believe the learning environment is central to the learning process and we take great pride in delivering our Early Learning Program in a nurturing and supportive environment designed to enrich the individual learning experience of every child.
PreK, K1 and K2 classes follow the framework of the International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme.
In NK we offer a Playgroup programme designed for children aged 2.
We provide an integrated learning experience for our preschool children. We combine what the children already know and what is familiar to them in their daily lives with the new knowledge they experience through their learning.
ONE CHILD AT A TIME...
“During group activities, I shared ideas with my classmates and we worked together to create something special that showed our ideas. In the Unit of Inquiry, ‘Transportation systems,’ I worked with my group to make roads that connected to each other and traffic signs so that I could turn what I saw on the road outside into something I can use. I figured out how to make signs stand up. I worked with my group to make my ideas better. It was fun to play with.”
Our IB learners are encouraged to be caring members of the community who make a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment.
