Pathways

At I-Shou International School, we offer students multiple pathways to success through their academics. Their choice of subjects and where a student would like to go to university are all important factors to consider.

The primary goal of all school pathways at IIS is to provide optimal student/ teacher interaction in a bilingual learning environment. We also strive to develop leadership through various student-led activities.

International mindedness and cross cultural understanding are also highly valued throughout the entire school. The rigorous curriculum prepares student to gain placement into well-respected universities both in Taiwan and internationally.

All Primary Department students from grade 1-6 complete the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) in a blended IB and national programme that  focuses on reinforcing a strong international mindset and bilingual education.

I-Shou International School offers two pathways in the junior and senior high school which are tailored to the end goal of the student. Students wishing to undertake university at an international university located in a country like North America, Europe or Asia will be advised to choose International Secondary Department to undertake the IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma programme (DP). Students wishing to undertake studies at a Taiwanese university are advised to undertake the national programme in Secondary Bilingual Department for their final years. 

Both programs are guided by the school’s mission and vision. Each program is robust and prepares students for university.

We want to encourage students to choose the pathway based on the nuanced  features of each pathway and the student’s long term educational goals.
