The design of National Test is changing. It now focuses on global contexts and authentic events. This central idea is within IIS's mission statement, thus the IIS National Programme is taking the lead in transforming education.
Total credits must be more than 160 credits with at least 120 compulsory credits (which must include 48 credits of core curriculum of the later stage of secondary level education), and at least 40 elective credits.
Minimum 120 compulsory credits which includes 48 credits of core curriculum of the later stage of secondary level education.
Minimum 40 elective credits. At least total 8 credits for “Second Languages”, “Arts and Humanities”, “Life, Technology and Information”, “Health and Leisure”, “National Defense Education”, “Life Science”, “Career Planning”, and “Others”.

Ministry of Education Requirements 2018
All grade 9 students have to participate in the Comprehension Assessment of Ministry of Education. The test has three purposes:
Enable students to understand their academic level and prepare for their next learning stage.
The school can take into account the results of the test and understand students’ academic performance in order to provide some suggestions during the high school counseling process.
The test result can be used for further teaching and counseling reference.
All grade 12 students have to participate in the College Subject Exam of Ministry of Education. It is designed to provide the first screening process for universities. The test has three purposes:
Whether students have had the basic subject knowledge
Whether students have had basic knowledge before attending University.
Whether students can combine or integrate different learning areas and focus on the capability of understanding and applying knowledge.
Real learning has occurred when students can take action and apply what they are learning in their classes.
